Our Heartbeat

We Need to Learn to See Through The Eyes in Our Heart

Come on a bit of a journey with me and together let us learn how the concept based on a position of gratitude will open our eyes and understanding from a heavenly realm.

Genesis 1:3 (KJV) And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

Both, as in the natural so it is in the spiritual realm, we are to walk in the light. Jesus wants to reveal the importance of walking in the light, so that as we follow Him we shall not walk in darkness.

John 8:12 (KJV) Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

1 John 1:7 (KJV) But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.  If we choose not to walk in the light it will lead us into deeper darkness and rebellion.

2 Corinthians 4:6 (KJV) For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

I think it is fair to say the world has never experienced the boldness, the >in your face= mindset of darkness that we see today. The earth itself is groaning under the weight of it. In all my lifetime I have never seen so many facets of evil, nor have I ever seen them walking in the unity as they are right now.

To add to that, I have never seen the church in such a dysfunctional state nor the number of churches that openly choose to side with evil and then dare to call it good.

I want to try to share a measure of truth, to put it into a package that will help us grow and mature in the things of God. It is important that we start to walk in greater light than we have in the past.

In my life God has used many devout men of faith, along with the Scriptures, a life of ups and downs, a life of trial and error, even a life of success and defeat. These strands are being woven together by the Holy Spirit and have brought me to the place of understanding I have today.

Christ is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. From the day of your birth to that day when we are back in total union with God is a journey. In fact, it is one amazing journey. During this journey we go through many valleys and even a few mountaintops. Our journey is one of embracing God and seeking His face. This journey is one that brings us through the fires of purification. It is a journey that produces faith for today and tomorrow, including a faith that our past (with it=s mistakes and sins) is under the blood of Jesus.

Faith produces an environment that enables us to discover the wonders of God. Not only the wonders of God but God's love for us as well. God's love is the illumination or revelation that allows us to walk and experience what God has planned and desires for us. When God looks at us today, He also views us as a person that originated with Him. He seeks to reclaim us as His own. It is out of that frame work we start to mature.

As our eyes are opened wider and wider the understanding of God and His purpose starts to come into focus, many wonder or question how do we view things? How can we get that understanding in a way that our lives can change?

For me the journey has not been so much as to understand with my mind, but it has been more about comprehending and learning to look through the eyes of my heart.

Ephesians 1:17-18 (NIV) 17 I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.

18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people,

The more I understand with the eyes of my heart, the more revelation I have. It is though the eyes of my heart that I start to view things through God's eyes. As we can learn to understand through the eyes of our hearts, I find that for me that a couple of things start to happen.

First, as my heart learns and starts to comprehend, the tears of joy and peace flow through me, removing dysfunction, wrong thoughts and wrong understandings. It removes them and opens a pathway to see things clearer from God's point of view. It brings me into that place of peace, a place of thankfulness that God loves me so much that He is teaching and transforming me back into His original design, the design He created me to be to become.

As we walk in the ways of Jesus, as we accept him as Lord and Savior we get new understanding and revelation. When we start to understand through the eyes of our heart, we start to comprehend and view and see in brand new ways. We understand God the Father more. Today the world talks about getting your inheritance, getting all you can get and grabbing it as fast as you can.

I submit that there is a better way of thinking which we need to understand. The truth in Scripture can set the stage for new revelation and purpose to flow into our lives, it can help us get ride of obstacles and bring about a new freedom. We must have the eyes in our hearts open. With the eyes of our hearts open, we can understand and even view things that are not visible to our physical eyes. Instead of looking at life from the all about me viewpoint, or the get all you can perspective, we need to start to see and understand all things from God's perspective. Only there can we comprehend the importance of His inheritance.

We Believer’s are part of God's inheritance. As His children, we need to not only see, but to comprehend this truth. We need to understand that as we participate in our heavenly Father's inheritance, we have the choice to embrace it, to keep it, to give it away or even lose it.

When we start to understand through the eyes of our hearts through the understanding of God's inheritance, our focus starts to shift and it is no longer all about me for it becomes all about God and his Kingdom. At one time we understood Christ after the flesh but as we learn to view Him through the eyes of our heart, it becomes completely different.

When Jesus was baptized He was baptized as a Jewish Messiah. But when He was resurrected, He was

resurrected as the Redeemer for the whole world, Jew and Gentile alike. As we view Jesus through the eyes of our heart we get an amazing new view and learn what is truly important.

My inheritance, and your inheritance, is to become the Father's helper and help Him gain His inheritance. If you can start to grasp that you will soon realize that your vision will become clearer and sharper, you'll be able to understand it, for the focus will be about Christ. It will keep the all about me and the self-life out of the equation. Our whole life must to come to that place where we embrace God's ways. We learn to make that choice of viewing all things through His eyes and we are called to be partakers with God. Partakers to help God gain his inheritance

Even when one looks at their life, even after coming to Jesus, there have been many good things that have happened, and many great things that have happened as well. I submit to you it is time to mature and grow even more. We will grow more as we participate and become helpers of God, helpers to see him gain His inheritance. Now is the time to trade everything we have for what should be. What can be to invested into the Kingdom will be the rallying cry of the sold out believers.

We are at that time in life to choose, to make that choice. God is looking for a people that will trade everything they have, yes everything, so they can participate is seeing the our Heavenly Father gain his inheritance in the earth.

We all need to see things that are not visible to the natural mind. We need to see ourselves as participants in Fathers inheritance. We are Gods inheritance and He is our inheritance. In this reciprocal inheritance, we do not know Christ by the flesh, but by the Spirit. We need eyes of the heart to see Him as the Son of God and His redemptive act for all of humanity. It gives us confidence to invest everything we have when we have the opportunity.

Ask the Father how to participate with Him as you explore this Kingdom inheritance through eyes of your heart. This inheritance calls us out of ourselves and into Him and it is a life long adventure!

Part of Gods plan for you is saying yes. To say yes to Jesus, we must come to that place of yielding your life to Jesus as both Lord and Savior. Saying yes means that we will repent of (turn away from) our old ways and sin. Saying yes is to come alive in new purpose so that our focus would shift from self to all about Jesus. That is the first step.

The second step is to walk in such a way that you become Gods hands, His voice, His smile and walk in the ways of His heart so others can turn away from the old life and become part of the body of Christ.

Then God wants us to walk in the ways of the Scripture. We find this in the gospel of Mark.

Mark 16:17-18

17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

Do you realize that God wants us all to mature and draw close to Him so we can go forth in His power. We are to be so close to Jesus, so sold out to the ways of God, so filled with faith and love that these Scripture become alive in us. In this way, we are the ambassadors of God doing what He wants us to do in representing Him.

Do you realize God wants us to walk in the supernatural? Many claim to want to walk in the supernatural but will not pay the price to mature and actually see these verses come alive and begin to function in their lives.

God is longing for you and I to be in such a close relationship with Jesus, following the leading of the Holy Spirit that we display to the world the love, the hope that God is offering to all that will say Yes to Jesus, to all that will ask Him to be their Lord and Savior.

Are you tired of not walking in the power of Scripture? Are you tired of not seeing the power of God move through you? Are you tired of seeing too many loved ones or friends not healed? Are you tired of seeing so many that remain in bondage to sin, in bondage to evil that controls parts of their lives? Are you tired of just having some head knowledge about Jesus?

Do you long for that very personal relationship that is so deep you sense His presence all the time in your life?

If any of this sounds like you, a change can start to take place right now. If you have not made a genuine commitment to Jesus and you are tired of doing things your way, if you want a fresh start in life so you can be assured that when you die you go to heaven, this is your time to make that change.

If you want to have that deep personal relationship and to walk so close to God that He can trust you to be His ambassador, laying hands on the sick, casting out devils from peoples lives so they can be free this is your day as well. This can be a new start, a new beginning for those that choose to turn over their lives completely to God.

One of the first steps is a new genuine commitment and a realization the old ways of doing things have not worked. It requires you to mature and spend time daily reading Scripture, talking to God in prayer and learning to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit.

To start stepping out in the things of God, ask Him to help you pray as the Spirit leads, to stop following the ways of flesh and sin. Start saying no to areas of compromise. Stand tall in Jesus even if you are the only one standing. Develop the understanding and begin walking out the reality that in Jesus is everything we need.

It is time to stop fear or past disappointments, to stop old wounds or words of man from hindering you. It is time that nothing be allowed to control or keep you from trusting God. Today is the day to step out in faith.

If you have not said Yes to Jesus, this is your first step.

SEVEN STEPS TO SALVATION

1. ACKNOWLEDGE: For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God (Rom.3:23).

God be merciful to me a sinner (Lk 18:13).

2. REPENT: Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish (Luke 13:3). ARepent therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out (Acts 3:19).

3. CONFESS: If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).

4. FORSAKE: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord... for he will abundantly pardon (Isaiah 55:7).

5. BELIEVE: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16). AHe that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned (Mark 16:16).

6. RECEIVE: He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name (John 1:11;12).

7. PUBLIC CONFESSION: That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:9, 10).

For those of you that have already made Jesus Lord, if you want to start to walk in the amazing world of signs and wonders you need to become like Jesus. Jesus only did what Father God instructed and walked in a heart full of love. Allow the Holy Spirit to lead you into the very presence of God.

I would love to pray for you to help jump start you into a new life, but it will require your on-going commitment to keep pressing in and spending quality time with God. Dont give up! Keep pressing in and you shall walk in the way God has ordained for you to walk in and accomplish all the plans and purposes of His heart for you.

Please send us your prayer requests so we can stand with you as you walk into a new understanding of Gods plans and purposes for your life.
